The Jules Verne room
Per night: 120 €, breakfast included.

We chose the name of this room to pay tribute to Jules Verne, who lived not far from our house, and who by virtue of his functions, participated in many social dinners in these places ...
This is also why we had a portrait made of him in our dining room, where his breakfast is taken.
A little history:
Jules Verne was municipal councilor in Amiens for 16 years from 1888 to 1904. After an interview with Frédéric Petit, he joined the Republican list. He is also part of other administrative committees: Caisse des écoles, Archives, Musée de Picardie, Library, Charity office.
“For 12 years I became an Amiens, my wife is an Amiens by birth. It was there that I made his acquaintance and little by little all my interests, all my affections were concentrated on Amiens. Many of my friends will tell you that I am more proud of being a municipal councilor in Amiens than of my literary reputation. I admit that it is with great satisfaction that I fulfill my responsibility as municipal councilor. "
Interview given to Marie Belloc and published in The Strand Magazine in London in 1895.
